Changelog
Every change we ship — to the widget, the checker, or our guidance — listed here with its date and the official source that motivated it. No entry, no change. This page is our accountability mechanism: we sell “we watch the law for you”, so you get to watch us do it.
Next known milestone: 2 December 2026 — end of the transitional marking period for AI tools already on the market before 2 August 2026 (2026 AI Omnibus). Marking itself applies since 2 August 2026.

Widget + Kit texts now in all 24 official EU languages; pre-launch operator named
The disclosure widget (v1.1.0) and the Kit’s disclosure texts now ship in all 24 official EU languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish and Swedish. lang=auto now resolves regional variants (e.g. pt-BR → pt) and falls back to English. Separately, our Imprint and Privacy pages now name the pre-launch operator directly; the operating company will be registered and its full details published on those pages before checkout opens.

Date corrections across the site (claims audit)
Our pre-launch claims audit caught two date errors and we fixed every occurrence: (1) we had presented 2 December 2026 as “the” marking deadline — in fact machine-readable marking applies since 2 August 2026, and 2 December 2026 is a transitional period only for tools already on the market before that date (2026 AI Omnibus); (2) we had described the high-risk regime as phasing in “through December 2027” — post-Omnibus it phases in through August 2028 (Annex III: 2 Dec 2027; Annex I: 2 Aug 2028). We also linked the now-published Code of Practice and Commission Guidelines in our marking guide.

Removed EU ODR platform references from legal pages
The European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 (its founding regulation was repealed). Our Terms and Imprint pages in all languages no longer reference it; consumer disputes go directly to us, with national ADR bodies remaining available. Exactly the kind of stale legal reference this changelog exists to catch.

Digital Omnibus on AI enters into force — timelines adjusted
The Digital Omnibus on AI (published in the Official Journal on 24 July 2026, in force 27 July 2026) moved the AI Act’s high-risk phase-in: Annex III systems to 2 December 2027 and Annex I systems to 2 August 2028. It also granted a transitional period until 2 December 2026 for the machine-readable marking of systems already on the market before 2 August 2026. Article 50 transparency duties themselves remain in application since 2 August 2026.

Commission publishes final Guidelines on Article 50 transparency
The European Commission published its final Guidelines on the transparency obligations of Article 50 — the official interpretation of the chatbot-disclosure, marking and labeling duties this site implements. Our guides align with them; we re-check on every guidance release.

Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-generated Content published
The Code of Practice on Transparency of AI-generated Content was published on 10 June 2026, with its adequacy confirmed on 8–9 July 2026. It operationalizes the Art. 50(2) machine-readable marking duty for AI tool providers — the layer our Kit teaches you to verify in the tools you use.
